User Reviews about Bioshock Series 2 Big Daddy and Big Sister - Set of 2 Action Figures
Welcome to Rapture
I have these toys set up at my desk at work and I'm constantly asked what they are. It's great. I love the details in the toys, like the big daddy has some weight to it and the Big Sister is light and agile.
Sisters
loved it very cool and I hope to see more action figures out for this game. ha ha
Nice collector figures
I'm a huge BioShock fan, so when I saw these figures, I jumped on them.
In this bundle you get two figures - a Big Sister and a Subject Delta (which they generically call a "Big Daddy" in the item title).
Both figures are very detailed. You can see all the little rivets and buckles and things on each of the figures' outfits and the detail is nice and accurate. If you hold the figures up against pictures or the game, it's pretty dead-on.
There's a bit of assembly required for each figure where you have to attach components (air tanks, backpacks, hoses) to the figures once you get them out of the package. There are no instructions for this, and it's not entirely intuitive. You can pretty well figure it out by cross-referencing with the pictures on the box, and the holes on the figures where things plug in are shaped in such a way that they only fit the components one way, but it would have been nice to have a bit of instruction, particularly with the hoses that come with Subject Delta where the plugs weren't as obviously shaped. It's also a bit of a tight fit on some of the components so you have to push pretty hard to get the pieces to snap into place but also be careful not to press on the wrong places and break something.
The figures stand nicely and can be reasonably posed into some cool scenarios, but I would have liked to see a bit more flexibility at each articulation point. For example, the knees on each figure are articulated, but you can't bend them to even a 45 degree angle. That makes them really more for "looking at" than "playing with."
Some of the finer bits on the figures could probably easily be broken off (and possibly become a choking hazard) so I wouldn't recommend them for kids. They're definitely "collector" figures rather than just toys.
The Big Sister comes with a backpack where a Little Sister could go, but there is no Little Sister and none sold separately. I found a different package - NECA Bioshock 2 Exclusive Ultra Deluxe Action Figure 2Pack Big Sister & Little Sister - that has both Big and Little Sister, but it costs as much as this two-pack.
All in all, they're pretty cool and they'll have a spot on my desk at work reserved. Great game, cool figures.
