User Reviews about Diamond Select Toys Star Trek The Next Generation Deluxe Starship USS Enterprise NCC-1701 D(All Good Things)

Terrific "special version" of a Classic
While the TNG-era version of the Enterprise isn't my personal favorite from a "style" standpoint, it's probably the best thought-through starship design ever to see the screen (thanks to Andrew Probert, Rick Sternbach and a few others). The "All Good Things..." version of the ship is actually a major improvement on the design, as far as I'm concerned... giving the ship a sense of balance which was the main stylistic "defect" that I always felt was there for the TNG-era ship. It makes wonderful sense, and looks terrific.

I've seen a few garage-kit mods, but never wanted to spend the time to make one of the, and there was a "Playmates" version of this which was pretty cheesy, a few years back. But this is the first really well-done version I've seen. And, in fact, this version is actually slightly nicer than the "regular" version of the ship available from the same manufacturer (particularly in regards to the neck... there are painted windows on this one, while they were left out of the "standard" version).

The sounds are terrific, the magnetic "separation" feature is very nicely implemented... this is a terrific model, and tough enough to also be a terrific toy.
The Best Enterprise Replica from Art Asylum
I have almost all the Art Asylum Enterprise releases and I must say this is the best one of them. I bought this version of the Enterprise a few weeks ago. This ship is huge and looks awesome displayed. With the light on of which is a seprate button this ship looks alot better. The voice chip in this ship is Admiral Rikers voice so it gives this ship a nice little uniqueness to it. This ship can also seperate the saucer from the drive section due to some very high powered magnets that hold the two ship parts together. There are also sperate stands for both parts of this ship when the parts are split up. This ship is worth the money to say the least. Also with the ship being in a limited production number that makes it better. Also on another note the problem with Art Asylums normal Enterprise D has been fixed. The neck of the ship has had the window decals put on this release. The normal Enterprise D did not have these decals and as a result alot of people {including myself} were unhappy with this blaring detail that was left off. Like I said this is the best release so far and worth the money.
10 Year Old Star Trek Fan Loves This
This was our son's favorite Christmas gift. He is a big fan of the more recent Star Trek series, especially Star Trek Enterprise and Voyager. This gift came as a complete surprise and he was so proud to get it. He loves the lighting feature but does not care for the speaking and thinks it's a bit "lame". Be careful removing the ship from it's package. The packaging included several of the typical tie on wires, and they were tough to remove. They were cris-crossed over the ship and when my son was removing them one of the ties caught on the tiny center piece on the top of the dome and it snapped off. He was quite disturbed about this until we glued the piece back on. We also had to immediately replace the batteries to get the light up features working.

Overall, this is a very impressive replica of the Enterprise and my son is very proud to have it!
Enterprise NCC-1701D - All Good Things Version
Really nice replica. Very detailed and large. Better than I expected! This is the heaviest Enterprise model and could use a more heavy duty stand. You need to be careful when placing the ship on the stand's mounting ball, however, you can balance the ship pretty easy on the stand supplied. If you are a fanatic for collecting these ships, this is one that you will be very satisfied with.
Outstanding Model (for the money)
I just bought the AGT Enterprise D. Never was much of a fan of TNG D, but since I'm a DC-10 (a jet with three engines for those not aviation savvy) crew dawg I just had to have a starship with three engines. That said weather you're a fan or not, I assure you that when you get this model in your hand it will grow on you fast (so much so that I have to get the two engine version now to play out formation departures from low Earth orbit).

As said previously, for the money this model is big and very well detailed. And if you intend to play with it as you take imaginary journeys around the cosmos, then you will like that it's sturdy enough to hold as you twirl in circles flying at warp speed. While it's an inch or so longer than the playmates 2009 Enterprise, it's twice as wide and heavy with far superior detailing. And if you get it, the model comes with three stand support holes for displaying the saucer and engineering sections separated or the as a complete ship. Personally, I would recommend throwing out the plugs to cover unused stand support holes because you may not get them back out...
