The Kids Love It!
There are many not-so-good and negative reviews of this product online. We have had no problems so far and the kids love it, they have pretty much taken over my computer since we got it. The included software is not updated for Windows7, but I knew that when I purchased it. If you go to the Fisher Price website, you can easily find the updated software. We have not had any of the computer crashes and other problems described by other reviewers. Once the software was installed, the kids went at it - the studio is very intuitive and was easy for the kids to figure out. We have no complaints.
HERE IS HOW TO FIX THE SOFTWARE FREEZING & CRASHING
Is your DACS software constantly freezing, crashing, or the like? Mine was, I searched for ages to find an answer, and finally did. DO THIS TO MAKE YOUR Digital Arts & Crafts Studio work! Now my kids LOVE it!
Close all programs, including the DACS mini tray icon then:
Rename: c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322 to ZZv1.1.4322
Then rename: c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705 to ZZv1.0.3705
Then REBOOT your computer and try the studio again. Works great for me now.. Not a single crash since I did this, and it has been running (left on) on the computer for over 24 hours!
