My young son (1 year and some months) is always playing with this. His big sister and his mom read a lot, so even though the book does not read to him exactly, it talks, makes noises and keeps him entertained while he gets used to holding , turning pages in, and enjoying books. It is great for independent play or something we can do together. It is light enough for him to carry everywhere but durable for the inevitable beating all of his toys are subject to. Like other moms have said it has become our grab and go toy for its compact size and appeal. An excellent choice for the cost.

I bought this for my grandson who is 15 months old. He loves to turn the pages and listen to the music. It was a good choice!

My son loves this toy! He likes to push the button to make it sing and learn what's inside the book. The good news is that he hasn't broken it yet, which I'm pretty grateful for, LOL!

This book is cute, not annoying, and most importantly, has an "off" switch. But, it just doesn't do much. It doesn't hold my 16 month old's interest very long. I'd recommend this for a cheaper price, maybe $6 or less.

This is a great product, my grand daughter loves it, it is easy for her to carry around even though she has just recently learned to walk.
