My son loved this truck. It looks very real. It seems durable, 2 months after Christmas and still looks like new. Great gift for someone who loves trucks.
Great "Garby" truck
We gave this to our two year old grandson for Christmas and he totally loved it as did his older brothers, especially the 8 year old. Our two year old granddaughter loved it too so there was quite an educational thing going on concerning sharing. Our grandkids live in the city so see garbage trucks regularly in front of their houses, so they really relate to this toy.
Favorite Toy for our 4-Year-Old
This toy is a huge hit with my son. Since the minute he got it, it has been a major focus of his attention. (He is sleeping with it as I write this). It is big, sturdy and attractive. Yes, it is plastic, but is very well built, with excellent detail and several moving parts to keep sharing children busy for hours.
The truck's side-loading mechanism attaches easily to the garbage cans. (We ordered the extra set, which makes for a longer garbage route.) Using a knob, the cans lift up and the contents are dumped into the bin. The "trash" is then moved to the rear of the truck by a spinning "compactor". Trash can be anything from paper scraps to plastic checker pieces. Then, the truck's rear can be lifted up, the back door opened, and the trash can be dumped out. The cab also lifts up to show the engine. It is really well designed.
The only drawback is that the cab doors do not open, so it is difficult to put anyone in the driver's seat. That said, it is highly recommended. I will definitely buy another Bruder product in the future.
Great present
My 3 year old grandson loves garbage trucks. He stands outside and watches the trash being picked up each week. I spent some time and researched garbage trucks on the internet and came up with this one for his christmas present. I certainly made the correct decision as he played with it all day. His other presents took a back seat. He hasn't put it down for 3 days and wants to take it everywhere. Great truck good quality and has excellent working parts. Would strongly recommend to everyone.
