I bought this small skate for my cousin. He is getting hell lot of fun with it!!
He keeps doing incredible things with his fingers on it, jumping from here to there.
Educational value of it is 0, but at least, you can have your kids safe at home and not doing bad things in the street with a real skate. :)

I learned two important things from trying out this toy: 1) Miniaturization has become really big and 2) if I were to ride an actual skateboard, I'd be in the hospital right now. While there's a much lower risk of your head hitting the sidewalk, Tech Decks are pretty much like the real thing except, of course, you use your fingers. Getting just one of these gets you everything you need: a complete fingerboard with real grip tape and metal parts, a tool to attach/detach hardware, an extra set of wheels and stickers. But to have an easy experience with Tech Decks, I suggest replacing parts only when necessary (The nuts and screws attaching them are really tiny. Earlier Tech Decks came with extras). As for all you collectors, save yourselves the money and the headache and buy only multi-packs.

This toy is recommended for ages 9 and up. It contains small parts which present a choking hazard.

I got these for my son's birthday party favors. The kids went crazy over them and I have been asked several times if I have extras or where they can buy them. We have so much fun creating tricks, decorating with stickers and changing wheels a trucks. Me, my husband, our 4 and 7 year old sons, as well as our 3 year old daughter enjoy these so much. We have begun buying ramps and accessories that go with them!! It is great for dexterity and independent problem solving and analytical skills on a basic level. HIGHLY recommend!!
