I am a high school band director and I wanted it to use as a baton for our spring concert. My groups are performimg music from the Stars Wars movies and I thought it would be fun to conduct with. For that, it works great, as a reading or desk light, it is not very bright.

When we received it I was surprised how small it was but after getting the light on and charged, it became a lot of fun for the person we bought it for. He is 7 years old. He immediately wanted to watch a Star Wars movie and then keep it charged for morning while he slept. He also likes to take it in the car at night with him when we are driving.

The minute he woke up he asked if he could go get the light saber out of the stand. It has definitely been worth the purchase for the joy it brought to him.

Quality in a small package.................and lots of fun too !!

I was expecting it to be a little bigger, but I guess that's my fault for not reading the entire description!. My son loves it, sleeps with it next to his bed to use as a flashlight.
I like the charging base connects right to a computer, and the light glows bright.
