My 11 year old HAD TO HAVE THIS for Christmas. It took a little bit to figure it out (you have to add the amounts currency comes in only: $1, $5, $0.25, etc). The money bunches up in the bottom though & causes it not to feed the $ in correctly if you get too much in there (About 10/$1 bills).
Great Bank!
I bought this bank for both my son and daughter, and they love it. It is a little noisy, but very fun to use. The bank makes them enter in the amount they are depositing, or withdrawing, and then gives them a running balance. This helps them understand the concept of keeping track of their spending, because they see their balances get smaller after every withdraw. I think it's a good deal at a good price!

Grandmom's Choice for 9 yr. old grandaughter
I bought this for my grandaughter who turned 10. She loves to use this toy to deposit and withdrawl her money like her mom does. The negative is that it has limited use and cannot be played with more than a few minutes.

The only problem with this toy is that when you make a deposit, if you take too long after pushing the deposit button, it will not account for the money you put in.
