This truck is one of my 2 year old's favorite birthday presents. He can already take the whole thing apart, and loves using the screwdriver/drill. It's great for his small motor coordination (while you can do most of the screws with just your hands, a few actually require the screwdriver, which motivates him to figure out how to use it), and really occupies his interest. Hopefully he'll learn to put it back together soon so I won't have to keep doing it over and over for him!! It's a bit tricky keeping track of all the screws, but I think it's worth it for the education/entertainment value. We've only had it a few weeks but it seems to be very sturdy (has been dropped a few times without any damage etc.)

My 2 1/2 year old Great Grandson is very good with his hands and loves using tools of any kind. The Take-a-part Crane truck seemed ideal for him. He loves it and can take it apart and put it back together with no problem. It teaches him how to use the various tool attachments - lug wrench, phillips screw driver, etc. The toy has withstood many overhalls and still works great. The automatic screw driver is terrific, and the attachments are easy to use.

My grandson really loves this toy. He needed help the 1st time taking it apart but from then on takes it apart and puts it together often. Great for eye/hand coordination and small motor skills.Keeps him entertained.He's 3 1/2 years old.

My son is 2.5. He is pretty dexterous with his hands and he loves to use a play screwdriver to turn nuts and screws. This Take-a-Part crane is awesome! All of the pieces are well made and feel very sturdy. They come apart in a sensical way that we can understand how to put it back together. He doesn't understand that yet but he loves to use the drill to take pieces apart and put them back together. This is a toy that will grow well with him (and my 16 month old) and will be with us for a long time!

I purchased this along with the build it airplane, I was probably more excited getting this for my two year old than he was when he saw it. Awesome toy and great idea but the drill is very weak, it is unable to remove screws without using your hand to loosen them first. This really robs a lot of the fun away as you loose a lot of the building and pretend aspect.
